Seller's Description

BENJAMIN SHERIDAN MODEL 397P RIFLE, VINTAGE

From Estate in North Texas: Vintage & factory original Benjamin Sheridan Model 397P Rifle of approx. mid-1980s production. Overall length of this .177 caliber, pump pneumatic rifle is approx. 36 1//8" with blackened bronze receiver & barrel complimented by blued steel small parts and an American Walnut stock & forend. Right side of the receiver reads: "Benjamin Sheridan Corp." ... "Racine, WI. 53403 U.S.A." with opposite side having: "Model 397P" ... "4.5 MM (.177 Cal.)" ... "Pellets Only" ... and has a six digit serial number with a "V" prefex. This Benjamin Sheridan rifle does not appear to have been much carried or often fired over the years. The upper pump lever joint shows virtually NO wear. Additionally, the finish on receiver & barrel is still about 99.99% factory original in appearance. The straight grained, American Walnut stock & forend have a few minor dings & dents from occasional use, but nothing unsightly or even worthy of further mention! Rifle strokes up properly, holds air indefinitely, and is quite powerful. The rear sight is mounted on top of the barrel is missing a tiny elevation screw. Safety is behind the receiver and functions perfectly. Purchased at Estate, this Model 397P was said by family to be their Grandfathers backyard "squirrel rifle" and certainly spent most of its time in the gun cabinet. The original pellet tin is included, of course. Missing one of these Benjamin Sheridan rifles from your private collection or display rack? Well look no further 'cause here is a Model 397P in outstanding condition for the astute buyer! **NOTE: S&H for this rifle will be $12.50 within CONUS **Vintage, factory original Benjamin Sheridan Model Model 397P Rifle (exactly as shown) is hereby offered to collectors, aficionados, and other interested parties.
