Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Harrington & Richardson, Inc. -- H&R Cavalry Model 1873 45-70 Trapdoor Springfield

Harrington & Richardson Cavalry Model 1873 45-70 Trapdoor Springfield. This is 98 plus % condition. Looks unfired! Marked CAVALRY MODEL on left side of the breachblock. On the right side below the hammer is the Eagle logo with U.S. Springfield engraved. The left side has the slide and saddle ring. This is a very early model and is all blue finish. Serial number 49xx. Bluing is 99%. Wood has a few minor nit picky marks from simple handling. They won't even photo. I don't believe this has ever been fired. I do shoot one of these H&R trapdoors and they shoot awesome! My H&R off the bench will shoot a 1 inch group at 100 yards with a lead slug! This one is beauty. A great little carbine for cowboy action shooting!
