Here’s a nice replica Colt SAA Peacemaker “Hahn 45” pistol from the early 1960s. Die cast frame and steel cylinder, trigger & hammer. Looks like the original blue-black finish was removed, but aside from that it’s all original. (If you have a buffing wheel and some jewelers rouge or semi-chrome paste you can make this puppy look like it has nickel plating.)
Timing is correct and the cylinder indexes and locks properly. The cylinder has the serial number 162712. Plastic stag grips are in nice shape. No cracks or chips. All screws slots are clean and undamaged. This is unusual considering that these pistols were used mostly by kids who sometimes tried disassembling the gun with wood screwdrivers. There are some plier marks on the CO2 wheel, but nothing too bad. (Please note that due to the pistol’s age I can’t guarantee that it will hold air. You’ll most likely have to install new neoprene o-rings which I think are available at most hardware stores.)
This pistol is HEAVY, over 2 pounds!, (34 ounces to be exact) so it doesn’t feel like a toy when you’re holding it. Overall length: 10 3/8”, so the weight and overall dimensions are pretty close to a real SAA. In fact, I was told that back in the late 1950’s and 60’s quick draw experts used these pistols for practice because the guns were so close to the size and weight of a real SAA. I guess the reasoning was why drop your real Colt if you’re just practicing? TV and movie stars also used Hahn pistols to practice spinning and performing other fancy moves. You’ll see for yourself why this is true when you hold one of these in your hand. Go ahead, practice the "Ringo Spin" from the movie "Tombstone"!
Pistol comes with holster (no belt) and the Crosman/Hahn 45 Owner’s Manual & Warranty Card. The holster could use some leather dressing but I’ll let you do that. The leather’s never had anything applied to it.
