Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't high enough. You're not the high Bidder until you've been notified by email that you are. Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Dryse -- V. Dreyse Needle Fire SXS Antique Shotgun

You are bidding on an excellent example of an antique V. Dreyse “Needle-Fire” side-by-side under-lever swing breech shotgun; about .16 gauge. This is not a Belgium made low-end copy using Mr. Dreyse’s patent; but, an original high grade and quality long arm made by V. Dreyse Sommerda (as engraved on the barrel rib). This great example of fine German/Austrian workmanship has all the characteristics of a best quality gun; the highly figured burl wood stock, the checkering to the wrist, the exceptional Damascus pattern, the double triggers, the horn trigger guard, the gold wire highlights to the chamber area of the barrels and the fine engraving to the metal work. Please see the detailed photos below for engraving detail and cosmetic condition; the barrel browning does show minor wear and the wood does have a bit of handling marks. The 32 1’2” barrels are of very nice Damascus and the bores have some minor blemishes; but, for it’s age (we estimate made in the 1870’s) this is in excellent condition! The action base frame is marked “Cal: d Schlusssp: 0.71”. Simply a great antique arm and exceptional example of Mr. Dreyse’s firing system and swing breech design. This is from a collection of fine antique arms; where it has been since the late 1950’s. It is an antique and no FFL is required; but, a copy of your drivers license showing you are over 18 is required for our records. This item is being offered at auction with NO RESERVE; and, at a reasonable, below market starting price; taking into consideration the condition as outlined above. We ship only to FFL holders (unless C&R eligible, then a copy of your C&R license must be included); an originally signed copy of which must be included with your order. An order consists of a copy of the e-mail notifying you that you are the winner, a signed copy of the appropriate license and payment. As payment we accept certified funds (shipped next business day), VISA or M/C (a 3.5% fee applies since the auction is cash price based) or a good business or personal check (held 5-days to clear). We ship all firearms via UPS; ground service for long guns and Next Day Air saver for handguns. We always ship fully insured and with an Adult Signature required. To the lower 48, we charge a flat fee of $25.00 for long arms and $39.50 for handguns; we will pay the balance of the shipping cost and for the cost of the shipping material. AK and HI will be charged the actual cost of shipping, to be determined after the item is sold. VA residents, please be mindful that you will be liable for sales tax. We welcome questions, but kindly request that you ask them via e-mail at least 24 hours prior to the close of the auction. As is our standard policy and that of the auction, a non-firing, non-disassembly 3-day inspection does apply to ensure that we accurately described the item. For those in the anti-gun states, please ensure that the item you are bidding on is legal to possess in your state. We attempt to accurately describe every item we offer, as our feedback shows. In addition, we make it a policy to be customer friendly and try to treat all as we would like to be treated. Thanks for your interest! Please visit our other fine auctions. We are a firearms importer and retailer in the Washington DC area; and, usually are asked to dispose of fine collections and firearm estates at auction. We appreciate your time and Good Luck! John
