It's been a thrill to own this rifle. I looked for years to find one. Most Mannlicher collectors have never heard of one. When I got the gun it was missing it's buttplate. I replaced it with a smooth, trapdoor steel plate that allows access to the original three cartridge holes. The stock was not cut to fit the new plate. LOP is 13 3/4". 23 1/4" barrel has a beautiful bore and 90% blue. Receiver, floor plate and trigger guard retain 95% blue. Three leaf express sights are 90% blue and all of them snap up and down. The double set triggers work fine and retain a wide range of adjustment. The front trigger is a two stage, military style. The bolt face and sliding extractor were replaced as the original was broken. The Lyman swing away sight works fine and is all there albeit missing a lot of blue finish. The wood has been lightly sanded around the pistol grip cap and toe of the stock to partially remove some small tooth like dents that still can seen. The stock has the small cheekpiece, deeply undercut. There are no cracks or other repairs to the wood. The front sling swivel is gray brown and the rear swivel is brown. The barrel is marked Antinit behind the express sights and there are two proof marks. The barrel is numbered to the receiver, 1099. It is marked Sequoia 505 over the chamber. The receiver ring is marked "Made in Austria, Patent, Mannlicher Schoenauer, M1924". The side of the receiver is marked "Gesterr. Waffenfabr.-Ges. Steyr". This is a very scarce rifle. It's light and quick for such a long barreled gun. And it points dead on. My opening bid is the reserve. Please send a money order including UPS shipping and an FFL. More pictures are available. Please email you requests. No guarantees though, my camera is a liberal.
