Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't high enough. You're not the high Bidder until you've been notified by email that you are. Seller's Description

RARE 1923WEBLEY AND SCOTT JUNIOR .177 AIR PISTOL

RARE 1923 WEBLEY AND SCOTT .177 JUNIOR AIR PISTOL IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. STRONG AND POWERFUL SHOOTER.

Some minor discoloration in the chrome. Small spot of pitting on the end of the barrel.

Manufacture of Webley Junior Air Pistols, in any shape or form, did not commence until 1928 allowing them to be introduced on the market in 1929. All the pistols produced between then and the beginning of world War II in 1938 had either wood or tin plate grips and no adjustable rear sight. Also, the grips were much more vertical and straighter, more in the style of the Mark I pistols. Series 2 Juniors commenced in 1945, with an extra 10 degrees added to the slant of the handle and a radiused swelling at the base. Also, plastic grips were used for the first time. Post war, Webley ceased to individually serial number each pistol and the numbers which appear are manufacturing Batch Numbers. Initially, the rear sight on the post war Juniors was fixed, but in the early 1950s the adjustable rear sight was introduced. Production of the Series 2 Juniors finally ceased in 1973. The Chrome finish was available from the factory at a customers request, though to have this done on a Junior was not very common since the additional cost was a high percentage of the cost of the basic pistol. I have tested and shot this air pistol and it is extremely powerful. A wonderful piece for your Webley Collection. The top of the barrel is marked, The Webley "Junior" 177. Webley & Scott, Ltd. Birmingham 4, Made in England.

Please abide by your State Laws for the purchase of an Air Pistol. Proof of age is required with yoru payment. No exceptions!!!
