C.G. EDWARDS & SON SXS DOUBLE 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN

available for auction is a vintage 12 gauge English side by side shotgun made by C.G. Edwards & Son Gunmakers, Plymouth, England. the shotgun is in very good to fine condition retaining about 80% of the original finish. the stock is straight and hand checkered. the barrels are 30 inches in length. the receiver and trigger guard are finely engraved. the barrels are marked "Nitro Proof 1-1/8" along with British proof marks. the receiver is also marked with British proof marks and "Target". there is a single bead at the front sight, possibly made of ivory. there are no cracks in the wood, but with the usual handling marks. the serial number is 4008. length of trigger pull from the rear trigger is 13-1/4 inches. probably made in the 1920's. FFL required for transfer to buyer. a money order ships ASAP. a personal check will have to clear after 14 days before i will ship.
