Buyer Tip: If you're the High Bidder in an auction when it closes, don't assume you're the final High Bidder. Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't high enough. You're not the high Bidder until you've been notified by email that you are. Seller's Description

1943 UNION SWITCH and SIGNAL 1911A1 .45 acp

here we see a UNION SWITCH and SIGNAL made 1911A1 - THE MOST COLLECTABLE of all 1911A1's (short of a singer). this one has a S/N 1059959 putting it near the first run at that armory. RCD inspected , dullite finish showing two tone , P marked frame and P stamped in the slide exactly midway on the slide serrations - the usuall upside down appearing from the left side. the slide has the usuall logo and swissvale ,pa. U.S.A. keyes fiber grips , checked spring retainer , checked slide stop pin , checked back strap , flat sided hammer , blued trigger , lanyard ring and contract mag. the barrel is HS on the right side and P on the left - blued of course , and in very good condition other than some slight darkening of the metal in the first 1/3rd of the inside from corrosive ammunition - still good grooves and shiney lands on rifeling. this pistol shows bright worn edges from holster wear and the usuall slide stop pin scratch the RCD in circle is faint enough , but the scratch doesnt help. this pistol has been used (not by me) you can tell by the type of outer wear and the bore which is still very good . it is a true first phase switch and signal with all the correct proofs and inspectors mark. a 1943 tool of the trade. SOLD ONLY TO FFL or C+R
