Here is a Simson W625A 22 LR single-shot training rifle based on the look and feel of the K98 Mauser military rifle. I believe these were 1930's vintage trainers. The receiver is marked; Mod. W625A and below that is a circle containing a triangle containing an S. The barrel is marked; KAL.22 Long Rifle 1197XX, FLUSS-STAHL KRUPP-ESSEN. (Fluid Steel Krupp Steel). Rifle rates approx. 90% original deep blue on barrel and receiver. Original military sights present but front sight hood is missing. Bolt is matching. This had a rather nicely milled triggerguard not stamped like seen on most trainers. Triggerguard is approx. 80% original blue turning plum. Stock has little marks from use and a bruise as seend on left side in pic. up near where receiver meets the wood and a 1 1/2 inch scratch on the same side. The number 5 105 is stamped into right side of wood and looks official but it is not serial number of rifle. I believe this to be some sort of rack or other official use number. Original cleaning rod is present and so is the original leather sling in esxc. condition. The bore is bright, strong and shiny. Mechanics are exc. A superbly made piece by a quality German maker. GREAT piece for ANY military collection. NO IMPORT MARKS!!! Immediate shipment to FFL or C&R of your choice upon payment by Bank Check or MO. Other payments must clear prior to shipping.
