This auction is for my exact copy of Wm. H. Bonney, alias Billy the Kid's holster for the Colt SA revolver he wore on his right hip. Note that the port on the Winchester rifle is on the WRONG SIDE in the famous and only known photo of the Kid. In other words, the picture has been "flopped" and this is what erroneously gave rise to the misconception that Kid was LEFT-HANDED. He was NOT. He was RIGHT-HANDED. Thus, the holster is a RIGHT HAND holster. The photo of Kid with Winchester '73 rifle is a very good print with great detail. You can even tell that he's wearing a...sweater! I studied this photo in great detail to make an authentic pattern for this holster. The only thing I couldn't tell was : whether it was plain or had a roller-embossed pattern on its border, but this is a sample holster. This auction is for the same pattern of holster, but may have different decorative stamping and color ~ so that yours is one-of-a-kind. If you need it LEFT-HANDED, you can opt for this at no extra charge. Today, there are more movies and books about Billy the Kid than almost anyone who lived in those times.
