Buyer Tip: If you're the
High Bidder in an auction when it closes, don't assume you're the final High Bidder.
Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't
high enough. You're not the high Bidder until you've been notified by email that
you are. All Auctions are conducted in Pacific Time.
This is an M49 Trip Flare. It was the predecessor to the Vietnam-era M49A1. The M49 is the same configuration as the WWII issue trip flare, except that the fuze and spoon assembly are the 1950's type with the hooks rather than the wrap-around type. This trip flare is a very hard-to-find item. It is dated 1957 and is brand new. The M49 trip flares were dipped in wax at the time of manufacture to waterproof them, so the goopy looking stuff in the photos is only the original wax, it is not damage or corrosion. Lucky high bidder pays UPS shipping charges. Money orders get immediate shipping, checks must first clear. I also accept payment through PayPal/. Payment to be received within ten days of the close of the auction. Please check my other auctions. Happy Bidding!!
