Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Argentine -- Model 1927 1911A1

Argentine 1927, .45 ACP – a version of the Colt 1911A1 built in Argentina under license from Colt using Colt machinery and Colt-trained personnel. This is the best one of these I have ever seen. It is in exceptionally fine condition. The 1927 is a first-class Mil-Spec pistol that doesn’t get the respect it deserves. Matching serial numbers on the frame, slide, barrel and on one magazine. The magazine is in good shape. Two additional mags are provided. This has the best finish I have ever seen on one of these models. Most examples show a lot of wear and tear and obvious heavy use but this gun's bluing is deep and in great condition with only very minor wear. Even the barrel is deeply blued with no markings from the recoil spring, indicating very little firing. The rifling is sharp and the bore is excellent. The markings are crisp and clear and the gun is extremely tight and in good working order. I have not fired it. The Model 1927 was manufactured throughout the 1930s and 1940s. Unlike Colt guns of the era, the Model 1927 has the steel in the slide stop area hardened while Colts do not. This is a superb example of this fine version of a mil-spec 1911A1.
