This FN model 1910 rig belonged to Lieutenant General Gordon Sumner JR. General Sumner was born on July 23, 1924 and died on April 5, 2012. General Sumner as graduate of US Military Academy was involved in many important tasks and projects from WWII through Vietnam and beyond. He was wounded in Korea and captured but escaped two days later. He was a speech writer for General Douglas MacArthur in Korea. As a Colonel in Vietnam commanded the 25th Infantry Division. General Sumner has his name inscribed on the right side of the pistol. The gun comes with original holster and an extra magazine. There are several articles about him on the Internet, I'll forward the articles, pictures and the book to the buyer.
