The Shultz and Larsen Target rifles were amongst the Olympic winners of inter war years. The Model 24 which was produced from 1924 and improved with the Model 33 through to the Model 70 later. These rifles were used by the DDS (Danish Rifle Association)as its standard Target rifle, much like the CMP. This rifle is 44 inches long with a 27 inch by I inch dia. bull barrel. It has an excellent bore with clean, sharp lands. The action is positive and crisp. The barrel OD. has a little freckling with a Globe front and vernier aperture rear sight for elevation and drift. The serial number on the barrel indicates it was manufactured at the Otterup, Denmark factory in 1955. Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  Which model is this? M24? M70? Something in between? 07/31/2013
A:  Hi, The extractor is clocked LH which makes it a model 24. The importer has etched it as a model 70 (the model 70 extractor is clocked RH). The stock is pre war style, later ones had the Monte Carlo comb. The barrel serial number dates it 1955. It is difficult to know how reliable the records are as the originals were destroyed during WW II. I got my info from ex employees and a Shultz and Larsen book in Danish that someone translated. Hope this helps, thanks for looking and asking, Bob. 07/31/2013
