Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “Address. Saml Colt New-York City”. The right side of the barrel flat at the wedge is marked “US / 1847”. The left side of the frame is marked “Colts / Patent”. The bottom of the barrel, bottom of the frame, bottom of the grip frame, cylinder and trigger guard are all marked “4102”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade. The rear sight is a notch in the hammer.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are one piece select walnut. There are no observed flaws in the grips and they appear to be in Near New overall condition.

Finish Originality: All Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep. There is no erosion in the bore. This revolver appears unfired since leaving the factory.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 99% plus of its metal finish. There is a slight mark which may be a factory flaw in the flat on the left side at the hinge. There are no visible scratches or dings in the metal surfaces. The edges of the barrel at the muzzle are sharp. The nipples look undamaged. The color case hardening is vivid throughout. The screw heads are sharp and untouched. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in almost New in Box (NIB) condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this revolver.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The original cardboard box with foam insert is retained. The end flap label matches the serial number and description of this pistol. The owner’s manual and original documentation are included. The foam inside the box is in Excellent condition. The exterior of the box shows losses at the corners, and a tear on the back with creases and minor losses on the bottom.
Our Assessment: Attention collectors! These second generation Walkers Colts have been discovered. This one is in pristine condition and shows no abuse. Here is a future family heirloom.
