Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Mossberg, O. F. & Sons, Inc. -- Model 46 B b .22 S, L, LR Bolt Action Rifle

Mossberg Model 46 B (b) .22 S, L, LR Bolt Action Rifle

This auction is for a Mossberg Model 46 B (b) .22 S, L, LR Bolt Action Rifle in good condition. This model was manufactured between 1938 & 1945 so it is C&R eligible. It has a tubular magazine, a heavy beavertail style walnut stock with a Monte Carlo cheek rest, a Mossberg S102 rear open sight (with three optional sight pictures), a Mossberg S103 aperture sight & a Mossberg S106 front sight (with four different configurations) and the receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope mount. The stock shows really well even though it has some bruises, dings & dents. The wood is sound, no cracks and has the original plastic butt plate. The barrel & receiver retain 99% of the blued finish however there has been surface/dew rust that has produced very fine pitting. The action is smooth; cocks on bolt opening and the bore look excellent with shinny pronounced rifling. It has a thumb safety, a plastic finger grip trigger guard and a serrated trigger. The OAL = ~43’, the LOP = ~13 ¼”, weight is ~ 7 lbs. Overall a very nice rifle and this model has a reputation for being very accurate.

PLEASE READ THE PAYMENT & SHIPPING INFORMATION POSTED AT THE END OF THE AUCTION. IT MAY SAVE TIME FOR BOTH OF US.

BEFORE YOU ASK WHAT THE RESERVE IS, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING…

RESERVE AUCTIONS:

We do not disclose the Reserve on our “RESERVE AUCTIONS” because doing so defeats the purpose of the auction. Disclosing makes it a “Sale”, not an auction, much like a classified listing. Most of the firearms we offer at auction are on consignment with us from one of our clients. Our commitment to our clients is to obtain the highest fair market price possible for their firearms. Thus, we prefer the Reserve Auction and the “HAGGLE” feature offered by Auction Arms. About 50% of our sales are completed via the Haggle. In a Reserve auction if the high bidder does not reach the reserve buy to end the auction the high bidder or the seller may institute what Auction Arms calls a Haggle a one-on-one exchange between buyer and seller to try and come to a mutual agreement on a price. If you are not familiar with the Haggle process, click on Auction Arms “Help & Info” for complete details. For those items that are not on consignment we usually offer a convenient “Buy-It-Now” price.

We are GOLDEN BEAR SERVICES, INC., a Federally Licensed Firearms Dealer in the Denver Metro area. We are also stocking dealers for a variety of “Mil Spec” manufacturers (such as Rock River & STAG) of quality AR15 & AR10 firearms and accessories including Uppers, Lowers, Parts Kits, barrels, stocks, mags, complete firearms and anything else we think you might be interested in.
