Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “The Marlin Firearms Co. North Haven, Ct, U.S.A. / Model 1894C .357Mag. Or 38 Spl”. The right side is marked “Warning” and “Misuse Can Cause Injury or Death – Follow / Warnings and Instructions in Owner's Manual”. The upper tang is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 18 ½”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a dovetail set blade, on a ramp and under a hood. The rear sight is a dovetail set semi-buckhorn leaf and elevator sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered oil finished wood. There is very little wear to the stocks and the checkering is still quite sharp. There is a light surface mark or two, though no crack or chips. The LOP measures 13 ½” from the front of the trigger to the back of the rubber Marlin butt pad. The stocks rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. This bore shows very little use. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only a mar or two on the lever and upper tang. The metal finish looks almost new otherwise. The screw heads are only a bit marked. The markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle.
