This Remington 1911 .45 semi-auto pistol is in great shape. Comes with 3 magazines, has been well kept, everything on this pistol is in excellent working order as far as I can tell. Slide, hammer cock, magazine release and trigger pull are smooth. Gun does not seem to be refinished, but cannot tell for sure, finish is worn in areas which would lead to believe it has not been refinished though. Grips are in good shape with only minor dings and no cracks. Bore is clean, rifling is still visible and there is no rust in the bore. On the underside of the barrel near the trigger guard there are some marks that could be rust but it doesnt feel like rust. This handgun is a piece of United States Military history, bid on it and help the NRA protect our 2nd Amendment rights.

Serial Number: 16940

Q:  I must make a correction to my previous identification of this 1911 Remington. The EEC inspection initials on the frame indicate , as you mentioned, a 1919 production by Remington. Sorry to the Remington purists. Again it is a nice piece. JCG 03/22/2013
