Barrel Length: 20”

Sights / Optics: This rifle is mounted with rear elevator sight set in a dovetail. The front sight is a bead blade mounted in a dovetail on a serrated ramp.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are dark walnut. The buttstock has a straight smooth grip and a brown recoil pad marked “Pachmayr White Line”. There is a sling swivel attached at the butt and another on the forend/barrel band. The stocks show only a few light handling marks on the finish. The LOP measures 14 ½” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. The top rear edge of the front sight has been polished to bare metal, and there are deep scratches on both sides of the magazine just behind the front barrel/magazine band. The forend/barrel band shows pinprick surface erosion, and there is a spot of pinprick surface erosion on the left side of the barrel behind the band and in front of the rear sight. The sides of the receiver show light handling marks with light frosting around the screw heads. The bottom of the lever shows scattered pinprick surface erosion and the top tang shows pinprick surface erosion and frosting. Of the 11 screws in the receiver and tangs, 2 are slightly distressed, and 3 shows minor marks from a screwdriver. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good to Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly, but it is a little stiff. The trigger pull is light and crisp. We did not fire this rifle.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None

Our Assessment: This rifle has certainly not been shot very much; even though it was made back in the 1960’s before the annoying cross-bolt safety was added to this model. The action is still stiff, and the wood and bore are in excellent condition. This rifle would make a great gift for the younger hunter just starting out, but at 6 ½ pounds would also be a great deer rifle for us older types who don’t want to carry around a heavy rifle all day.

CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This rifle can be transferred/sold in California.
