Our Assessment: The .30-06 Springfield is one of the most versatile cartridges around, with commercially loaded cartridges having bullet weights from 110 to 220 grains. With a mid-weight bullet, it is on the upper end of recoil energy (20 ft.-lbs.) that most shooters can tolerate. It is perfect for deer, and can be used on anything from varmints to elk. This is a nice looking rifle made far enough back in time when quality was still expected from an American gun manufacturer.
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This rifle can be transferred in California.
