Our Assessment: Unlike many of the S&W Model 29s we see in our shop, this one has seen some use. It still is an attractive revolver and is still definitely a shooter. It has the classic silhouette of a revolver, having the shrouded ejector rod, but not the full underlug. It is capable of shooting .44 Magnums and also more reasonable .44 Specials. It has adjustable target sights capable of being zeroed to the wide variety of ammunition available. And finally, as someone from the FBI once said “caliber is unimportant-as long as it starts with a “4”. This is definitely a caliber that starts with a “4”.
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This handgun is not on the California “roster of handguns certified for sale” and can only be transferred/sold to a California resident as a private party transaction (PPT) at our shop in Simi Valley. This does not apply to out of state buyers.
