Yes, its a sporter, but one of the nicest I've seen. Somebody put an extrordinary amount of time and work into the military stock to turn it into a drop comb Monte Carlo. Test fired for function. Bluing is 90%++ and wood is as shown. Smooth, tight Mauser type bolt action. Sling swivels and a vintage brass rivet leather sling in fair to good condition. Brass dot dovetail insert in raised ramp front sight. Rear sight is a Redfield (perhaps a 102 series) peep with no aperature. 22" crowned barrel with a brite shiny bore and excellent rifling. Close-ups of proof marks and flaming bombs. The fine print on the butt plate is "Herter's" and "Since 1893". Because of the barrel and stock modifications this rifle does NOT qualify as a C&R. Must ship to an FFL. Michigan sales will have sales tax added. Gun will be correctly and professionally packaged. UPS Ground insured shipping is $35 to lower 48 and actual cost to other USA locations. I am an FFL. NOTE: USPSMO or Certified funds ONLY.
