Our Assessment: This S&W “humpback” nickel snub nose revolver is in truly Fine condition. It practically cries out for a black leather shoulder holster to be worn under your tuxedo. The “Bodyguard” as it’s known, was designed to be snag free when drawn from concealment, yet still offer the option of thumb cocking the hammer for accurate single action firing. The Model 49 is a very distinctive looking and practical revolver for concealed carry and self-defense.
