WORLD WAR II (WWII) ITALIAN MILITARY Battle Rifle (Model BRESCIA 1888) The length of this handsome Italian Military (WWII) Rifle is 47" total with a 25" barrel. This was originally mfg. in 1888 according to barrel date. This Italian military WWII battle rifle serves as a shining example of how poorly Italy was prepared for WWII (and was corn holed by the Allied forces). Due to the shortage of needed military WWII Carcano rifles, the Italians pulled the 10.35mm old black powder cartridge Vetterli rifles from moth balls. They were converted to 6.5 Carcano and a box style magazine was added. Metal is pitted and/or rusty. Wood has scuffs, scratches, dings and gouges with a few splits. Missing a small chunk. with a strap and stamped on the stock. Used working condition. Recently cleaned and may have some residual.
