Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Marlin -- Model 5510 10ga Goose Gun

Marlin Model 5510. 10 Gauge Goose Gun. Yes, you are reading this correctly, this is a 10ga Shotgun! The receiver does say: "The Original Marlin Goose Gun 3 inch Magnum Chamber" The barrel has the Model 5510 10ga 3-1/2 inch chamber. What a cannon! Overall finish is about 98%. With a little cleaning, it can possible look like new condition. The barrel is about 34 inches long. The length of pull is just under 14 inches from the trigger to the center of the buttpad. The bore looks clean, shiney and smooth....no evidence of rust or pitting in the bore. The choke measures out at .739, which is Extra Full Choke. The gun functions correctly. There is one magazine included. The serial number is 22759212 and the shooters Service Stock Number is 23708.

The wood is in kind of rough shape. There are lots of dents and scratches. But do not see any cracks anywhere. The rubber butt pad is getting a little hard. May need to be replaced....???? Includes leather sling you see in the piuctures.

This gun is very long and heavy. To keep shipping to a minimum, the gun will have to be seperated from the stock. The stock and receiver/barrel will be wrapped in bubble wrap and shipping in the same box. If we were to try and ship it together, it will exceed the UPS limit for over-sized packages, and shipping will be HUGELY expensive. So seperating the receiver/barrel from the astock will keep the package under that oversize limit. If anyone has a problem with this and you win this auction, just let us know and we can pack it whole, and give you the shipping cost. We will ship it howevere you want, just be prepared to pay a lot for shipping if you want the gun shipped without taking it apart.

This firearm can only be sent to an FFL holder. An adult signature will be required upon delivery of this firearm.

This auction starts at a penny with no reserve. We run our items for the entire duration of the auction and will not cancel prior to the ending date.

Questions for Users
(Public)
Q:  greetings i wonder why the conflicting markings on the metal? weren't the original 10 gauge guns, mdl. 5510's marked as the,"Super Goose gun"? mike 10/25/2012
A:  Mike, I'm not sure why it is marked the way it is. The barrel is marked 5510 10 ga 3 1/2" and the receiver is marked like a 12 model 55 3". The gun was definitely manufactured as a 10 ga. So your guess is as good as mine. Thanks for looking at our auctions. 10/26/2012
