Our Assessment: The Remington 513 Matchmaster was developed by Remington's R&D team for the U.S Army and ROTC to practice marksmanship. This S model is based on the same internals and production standards but with a lighter barrel and”sport” stock . These modifications in the S model made this rifle a great varmint hunter and light target shooter. Attention COLLECTORS!!! When will you find a 65 year old rifle in this condition? Perhaps never again. This is a FIND!!!
