Our Assessment: This is an early Savage 340B but we can’t prove it. This caliber was introduced in 1950 . The .222 REM is one of the best flat shooting accurate rounds available, and this rifle shoulders well and feels extremely stable. Standing, prone, or leaning on a fence post, this is the squirrel killer you’ve been looking for. If you are not the hunting type, then shoot the center out of your targets at the range.
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This rifle can be transferred in California.
