Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “Fabrication Francaise. /Calibre. 6.35 6 coups MIKROS”. On the left side of the frame the serial number is marked vertically. The grips are marked “PISTOLET / MIKROS / FRANCAIS”.

Sights / Optics: There is a short blade front sight and a notch in the slide rear sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are plastic with a raised badge in the middle. Thye left grip appears warped. There are light surface scratches but there are no visible cracks. Both grips show lifting at the corners. The grips rate in about Fair overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is dull and the rifling is shallow. The barrel shows pitting and erosion.
Overall Condition: This pocket pistol retains about 70% of its metal finish. The balanceof the finish shows rust on three sides of the grips on both sides. The Screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pocket pistol rates in about Fair plus condition.
Mechanics: The action does not currently function. The slide pulls back but there is no “click” when the trigger is pulled. We did not fire this pistol.

Our Assessment: This is a nice looking little pocket pistol copied from the Browning/Eibar design. This series of pistol was released before 1939 under a variety of trade names. After 1939 the company started just simply stamping “Unique” on the slide and was soon taken over by the German war machine.
