Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “EIG NAVY”. The right side of the barrel is marked with the Gardone Provisional Proof, the starred “PN” black powder proof and the date code “XXI”. The bottom of the barrel is marked “6310”. The lower front frame is marked with the same proof marks as the barrel. The cylinder is marked with the Gardone Provisional Proof mark. The left side of the loading lever is marked “2”. The bottom of the grip frame is marked “Italy” and with the EIG logo.

Sights / Optics: This revolver uses a square grooved hammer as a rear sight and is mounted with a large gold bead front sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are light colored wood. There are only very minor handling marks. The grips rate in about Fine overall condition.
Type of Finish: This revolver has a blue barrel, cylinder and trigger, a case hardened loading lever and hammer, and a brass frame and grip frame.
Finish Originality: All Original
Bore Condition: The bore is dark and the rifling is sharp but shallow. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 80% of its metal finish. There is no wear on the barrel, and only slight wear on the left lower edge of the loading lever and bolt notches of the cylinder. The brass frame and grip frame have surface mottling. The Screw heads are undamaged. The markings are sharp except for those on the brass frame. The cylinder lockup is a little loose. Overall, this revolver rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this revolver.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes with a brown leather holster with oil staining and marks in the finish. It fits the revolver properly.
Our Assessment: This revolver looks like it has not been fired very much, if at all, and is in good mechanical condition. The aged / worn brass only adds to the vintage appeal of this revolver. Still, for black powder enthusiasts who like smoke, this revolver would make a good shooter.
