The exterior of the box is in Excellent condition with only three places where the finished portion has lifted right below the metal reinforcing. There are two places on the lower portion of the box where the blue finished paper has lifted, just above the metal reinforcing. Overall, the box is in surprisingly good condition. Our Assessment: The Smith & Wesson Model 15 is also called the K-38 Combat Masterpiece. It is hard to imagine a more classic looking .38 Special double action revolver with its square butt, adjustable sights and blued finish. Often issued by law enforcement agencies in the mid-20th century, this revolver embodies the reliability for which Smith & Wesson is famous. If you are seeking a target revolver, service revolver or home defense revolver this handgun is up to the task. For these very same reasons it is also a good choice for IDPA stock service revolver or ICORE Classic revolver competitions.
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This revolver is not on the California “roster of certified for sale handguns”, and can only be sold to a California resident as a private party transaction (PPT) at our shop in Simi Valley. This does not apply to out of state buyers.
