WWII German K98 Mauser reconditioned by Yugoslavia. Yugo crest on top of the receiver, and the left side is marked "PREDUZECE 44" & "MODEL 98". The right side is marked "S4918"; the stock is marked "4918" and bolt stamped "4918" (matching numbers receiver, stock, and bolt); gloor plate number is 3086; no markings on the butt plate. The underside of the barrel behind the front sight is stamped "TG KNOX TN K98 8MM YUGO". There are no other markings that I can see. Overall condition of this rifle is very nice, nice bluing with no rust, and the wood stock is in good condition with only mild handling, usage, and storage marks. Inside of the barrel looks good with strong lands & grooves. Everything functinos properly, and should be a nice accurate shooter. I have had this in my collection for over 20 years. I have never fired this rifle, and if you intend to, you should (like any vintage gun) get it checked by an experienced gunsmith.
