Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. Although the bayonet is marked the same as this rifle it does not lock when fitted to the barrel. This is the correct bayonet and the fit to the barrel diameter is good but it is difficult to press the bayonet into the “lock” position around the sight. The spring is functional.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: A bayonet is provided. The bayonet is in Excellent condition with few marks. A sling and cleaning rod are also provided.
Our Assessment: This is the standard Russian battle rifle of WWII. Ammo is easy to obtain and this is a strong action with a good bore. Want to have some target shooting fun take this military long barrel to the range and punch some paper. Re-enactors and collector alike should want this WWII veteran.
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This C&R rifle can be transferred in California.
