Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with “PIETRO BERETTA Gardone V.T. –Made In Italy”. The right side is marked with the PB logo and “Patented Berben Corporation N.Y.-N.Y.”. The left side of the frame is marked ”Model 84B CAL,.9 Short” . The right side of the frame is marked “PB” just above the trigger and with the serial number just below the slide. Various proof stamps are just in front of the trigger guard.

Sights / Optics: This pistol has a square notch rear sight in a dovetail slot and a blade front sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are Pachmayr Signature series rubber. The rubber shows some light scuffing on the right side but there are no tears in the rubber. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.
Type of Finish: Blue Anodized Aluminum Frame w/ Blued Steel Slide.
Finish Originality: All Original
Bore Condition: The bore is shiny and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 95% off its metal finish. The top of the front sight, safety, slide release and barrel all show minor wear. There are some minor scratches on both sides of the slide. There is a small scratch on the right side of the frame in front of the trigger guard and another on the bottom of the trigger guard. The Screw heads on the grip are sharp and show minor disfiguration. The markings are sharp. Overall, this pistol rates in about FINE condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly both single and double action. We have not fired this pistol. The barrel is nickel-chromium steel with hard chrome finish.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a Brown leather clip-on Bianchi #19CL thumb-break holster in Good condition with some scratches in the leather. It also comes with 3 extra high capacity Beretta magazines in EXCELLENT condition (there are four total magazines provided). The aftermarket high capacity magazine in the gun has a plastic floor-plate and is in FINE condition. These magazines will NOT be provided to a California resident nor to a resident of any state with magazine capacity restrictions.
Our Assessment: The Cheetah started with the Series 81 in .32 ACP in 1976, and its variations include the .380 ACP and .22 LR. This lightweight pistol would make a great carry gun, and for home protection with its 13 round magazines, and double action.
