Markings: The left side of the barrel shows the “Warning Label”. The left side of the frame is marked “Ruger .44 Magnum Cal. / New Model Super Blackhawk”. The right side of the frame shows the serial number.
Barrel Length: 7 ½”
Sights / Optics: This revolver is mounted without iron sights. A Picatinny rail is mounted with a Leupold “M8-2X” scope. The scope optics are clear with duplex crosshairs. This is a long eye relief scope, complete with rubber scope caps. There are no dents or dings in the external scope tube. NOTE: This scope is mounted with three scope rings.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips mounted are Pachmayr rubber. The original wood grips are provided as well. The rubber grips show little if any wear and there are no tears or losses. The left rubber grip panel does not quite reach the frame behind the trigger and shows a small gap. Please see our photos. The wood grips show little use and have no marks. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep. There is some fouling that will clean easily. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 98% of its metal finish. Outside of a light dragline, there are no mentionable signs of wear. The Screw heads are sharp and not disfigured. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this revolver.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver is loaded. There is a rail mount, scope, three scope rings, rubber grips and the original wood grips, sling swivels, a sling, a fitted holster for a scope, and the factory boxes for the scope and the revolver. The barrel is ported and the cylinder is unfluted. The inner yellow and black Ruger box end label matches the description of the revolver but has old masking tape over it and it is difficult to read what is below. The external box end label does NOT match the revolver. The nylon sling with swivels and the original wood grips as well as the scope ring boxes are inside the Ruger box. The box for the scope is provided as well. There is an unmarked leather holster provided. This holster fits the revolver with scope mounted. The holster has just a few surface nicks and is in near Excellent condition. The original cardboard box has a tear on the top and another on the front inside top flap, and tatters on the corners. This box is in fair condition.
Our Assessment: This is a fabulously prepared revolver. If you are interested in handgun hunting - this is THE unbeatable combination. Ruger quality is paramount, we believe them to be amongst the best made modern gun in the world. The Leupold is of course not lacking in quality either. The finish is stainless and will last a lifetime of field use. This a handsome and capable hunting revolver.
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This revolver can be transferred in California and can be transferred as a private party transaction (PPT) at our shop in Simi Valley.

Your item will be shipped within 1 week of receipt of good funds, usually the next day. You will receive an automatic notification with a tracking number upon shipment, to let you know that we have received funds. If you are in Southern California, you are welcome to pick your item up and complete the transfer at our shop in Simi Valley (M-F, 8-5).
This gun can only be shipped to an FFL, and it will be shipped from an FFL. It is your responsibility to ensure that the gun is legal to own and receive in your area. If you would like to be notified when we receive your payment, please obtain a tracking number from your carrier. We receive about 40 checks a day and do not have the staff required to email everyone when we receive checks.
Payment:
Full payment on non-layaway items is required within 14 days. We accept Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, Cash and Personal Checks. No Credit Cards or electronic payments are accepted. To help us properly apply your payment, please indicate what item you have purchased when payment and/or FFL are sent. If you would like to be notified when we receive your payment, please obtain a tracking number from your carrier. We receive about 40 checks a day and do not have the staff required to email everyone when we receive checks.
CA Sales tax applies to CA buyers (7.25%).
Layaways are offered on all items, requiring a 20% non refundable down payment within 7 days of the auction’s close and the balance within 60 days. We do not require prior notice to place an item on the layaway. No returns are accepted on layaway items and the item will be considered abandoned after 60 days.
Successful Bidder Instructions:
You will be invoiced by the morning following the sale. This invoice will include totals for the sale and all instructions.
If you win an item and are not willing or able to complete the sale, you will be liable for 5% of the sale price.
Returns (less shipping) are accepted within 3 days of when the item is delivered with signature confirmation. Returns are very costly for both the buyer and for us, so please ask all of your questions before bidding and please be sure you can legally purchase this item.
