As an antique weapon this can be received by anyone without any special license, permit or transfer.
Here is an early Flintlock Austrian musket converted to percussion and imported to United States and Confederate States armies.
It looks to me like it is .72 caliber and smoothbore.
Barrel is long 32" with bead front sight. Stock forend has been shortened.
Action works and I wouldn't be afraid to shoot this.
This would be a bargain-price way to get a truly historical, authentic American collectible.
There are a couple of narrow cracks that are shown in pics. There is some pretty brass on this weapon.
I noticed right off that the serial number on the lockplate, butt plate, trigger guard and barrel are matching.
A lot of history in this gun.
