Our Assessment: The Colt Army Special was brought out in 1908, about two years before this particular example was manufactured. The “Army Special” was later renamed the “Official Police”. This example is chambered in .32-20, which Colt discontinued as a chambering in 1935. This caliber ammunition is still commercially available. This caliber was popular as a “pot filling” cartridge and was offered in both revolvers and rifles. You can still enjoy shooting this revolver, either for it’s ability to harvest small game or for its ability to control pests and varmints. It makes a decent home protection gun as well. Collect it and shoot it!
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This C&R revolver can be transferred in California and sold as a private party transaction (PPT) at our shop in Simi Valley. This does not apply to out of state buyers.
