1850's percussion rifle. Gun retains a pleasing patina overall with some minor surface rust and very light pitting. Markings are clear. Marked on the top of the barrel: PISTOR & KOST IN SCHMALKALDEN. BY B EYBEL IN NEWIORK. There was a huge amount of German immigrants living in New York in the mid-1800's (still are actually), and this was most likely the product of one of them. Excellent 41 caliber rifled bore. Excellent working order. Excellent wood has some light handling marks. 29 inch octagon barrel. Missing the rear barrel sight and the rear stock pin. Really an interesting gun. Serial number is 6.
