This is a beautiful re-creation of a model 1850 Civil War H.Sauerbier Foot Officer's sword & scabbard! This is the nicest of these available right now in this grade. It is nice enough to give as a presentation piece. They are very limited & made exclusively for a supplier of mine, when they are gone they are gone. Extremely tough sword to get. This is the sword that constantly gets peddled as the real thing for big money at shows & auctions but here is your chance to get a beautiful new one without the big money price tag & phony story that the aged ones always have. 30 1/2" etched blade is 1 3/16" wide at ricasso & beautifully etched with US, flags, Armor, floral & vine, etc & maker's mark of H. Sauerbier Newark, NJ. Brass pommel cap, ferrule ring & guard with cast spread winged Eagle, shield & flags. Leather grip with wire wrap. Deluxe steel scabbard with ornate brass mounts & drag. The fit & finish of this sword is far superior to the run of the mill reproduction swords. Great sword for Presentation, Re-enactment or display.
