Manufacturer: Smith & Wesson Condition: Previously Owned Model: 3 Russian Third Model Caliber/Gauge: .44 S&W Russian Approx Man. Date: 1874-1878 Serial Number: 5743 Approx Barrel Length: 7" FIN# 18-08-19 Description: Up for auction is a S&W Model 3 Russian Third Model (New Model Russian) top-break chambered in .44S&W Russian. Features the Cyrillic print barrel address with the double eagle stamp near breach end with initials "K O" stamped under it. The bluing shows minimal wear, most noticeable on the front sight blade and around muzzle. Does have some rust scattered about but very little pitting. The lock up is perfect! The hammer is fully functional locking into all 3 positions without problem. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, has very very little pitting but there is some. Original wooden grips are fully intact with just two small dimples, no cracks or serious scratches at all! The cylinder and frame have matching serial numbers as well as the grips (stamped inside right grip). Lanyard loop still intact on bottom of grip! The ejector works perfectly when opened! Appears to be completely fireable! Only about 41,000 were produced between 1874 - 1878 and these are rarely encountered since most were shipped to Russia. Must see pics! It will be $15 shipping.
