Mechanics: The action functions correctly both single and double action. We have not fired this gun.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None

Our Assessment: This is a large powerful stainless steel modern double action revolver. It is capable of shooting .44 Magnum cartridges when power is required, and also capable of shooting milder .44 special cartridges when magnum power is not called for. It has an internal lock for those who desire to render the gun inoperable, but it is not required that this feature be engaged. Equipped with recoil absorbing rubber grips this can be an enjoyable and controllable revolver to shoot. It makes a great sidearm to take in the field, in part because of its stainless steel construction, and in part because it’s capable of dealing with most predators found in the U.S., be they four legged, or two. If you desire to have a safe, powerful and reliable handgun you can hardly go wrong with a S&W .44 Magnum revolver.

CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This revolver is on the California DOJ “roster of certified for sale handguns” and can be transferred in California, and can also be transferred to a California resident as a private party transaction (PPT) at our shop in Simi Valley.
