I'm selling this Browning for a friend.
It's a beautiful gun, and the pictures don't do it justice. I haven't fired it, but I don't see anything wrong with the mechanism.
It does have a couple of issues: The forearm latch won't close tightly. You can see it hanging out in the pictures. I am not going to try to fix it; I would just end up scarring the gun.
There is also wear showing on the corners and the trigger. The trigger looks like it was gold once, but now it's a nice bronze color.
And, there are a couple of scratches on the barrel, both shown in the pictures. There is also a small ding on the side of the rib, but it won't show up in the pictures. Finally, the screw behind the trigger guard is marred, not badly, but it is there.
She has a 32 inch barrel, measured from where it butts up against the receiver. It is marked on one side, "BT99 special steel 12 ga. shells-2 3/4". The other side says, "Browning Arms Company, Morgan, Utah & Montreal, P.Q. over Made in Japan".
The butt pad is a Pachmayr Decelerator.
The gun is slick and smooth, and heavy but balanced.
This will ship in a hard plastic case.
This is a modern gun, and will have to go to an FFL. I don't have an FFL, so make sure your guy will take a gun from an ordinary citizen. I will include a copy of my id with the gun.
