Up for auction is this Crosman 140 .22 cal. Pump Air Rifle, gotta be old, 1960's, I presume. The good, the bad, the ugly. The good: Hey, it works!!! It pumps up, it shoots pellets, the loading mechanism functions fine, the seals hold air, the safety works, and so does the trigger. Solid little gun except for - the bad: Rear sight is broken or missing, can't tell how the original works, has no front sight can't tell if it ever had one, barrel is not attached to pump tube - don't know if it's missing a part or how it was attached originally. Barrel can wiggle about a half an inch side to side at end, someone had tried to silicone the barrel to pump tube, didn't work. Plastic end cap on end of pumptube has broken piece, (see photo) but does not hinder operation. Even though barrel is not attached good to pump tube, it's not bent, still shoots fine. Missing stock buttplate. Now, on to the ugly: finish is worn and scuffed, a couple of dents in stock, all could be sanded out and refinished with no problem. Bluing on tube and barrel is showing brown age spots, as are we all who are from the 60's! Overall, needs a little repair. Major functions are operational. Fun little gun. Obtained in an estate sale, don't know the history although I'm sure it has one. Great for your collection, or a starter kid gun, or project gun. Also included: approx. 70 .22 cal. pellets. Check or money order has to clear before we ship. Shipping fee will be actual cost based on the actual location of winning bidder and his choice of shipping method.
