Guns For Sale - Winchester -- 1873 King's Improvement

This 1873 was manufactured in 1892. Cal 32 wcf. Serial number is 440945B. The overall condition of the metal is a very dark patina with very few marks or dings and NO rust and NO pitting. The wood is very dark with no new lacquer and has no dings or cracks but does have one sliver missing from forend and small chip from stock. Many 1873 Winchesters have this problem. The action is perfect and the screws are in near perfect shape. Metal to wood fit is perfect. For it's age this rifle is in great shape.

    Q:  What is the condition of the rifle bore. Pitted or bright? Rifling distinct throughout bore? Any reason the dust cover is canted to the right in your picture? Thanks for your answers. 06/21/2012
        A:  The action works perfectly if the dust cover is pulled back. I don't know why this has happened, it was not an issue when this was put up for auction.. If this makes a difference to the high bidder, I will not hold them to the bid. The bore is smooth at the end of the barrel, and I can't see further down. 06/21/2012

        A:  You are so right and I am sorry I listed the serial number of another Winchester I am putting up for auction. the correct is 440945B Manufactured 1892. 06/22/2012
