*DEAD BEAT RELIST*..................THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC COLT 1911-A1 1924 "TRANSITIONAL" MODEL...ONLY 10,000 WERE MADE IN 1924...THESE WERE THE 1ST MODEL 1911-A1'S MADE FOR THE U.S. MILITARY...THIS ONE IS NUMBER 259 OF THE RUN....ORIGINALY MADE IN BLUE, THIS ONE WENT THROUGH ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL DURING OR BEFORE WW2 AND WAS RE-ISSUED. IT WENT THROUGH THE REPARKERIZING/RE-ISSUE PROCESS AND ALL MARKINGS ARE STILL CLEAR. FRAME IS WTG INSPECTED, THE BARREL IS "F" MARKED, "FLANNERY" MFD. ..BORE IS MINTY...THE SLIDE AND FRAME ARE CORRECT TO THEMSELVES AS ARE MOST OF THE PARTS...APPARENTLY ONLY THE BARREL, GRIPS, AND TRIGGER WERE REPLACED. ALSO NOTED, WAS A "K" ON THE RIGHT FRONT TRIGGER GUARD. I RECENTLY DISCOVERED THIS WAS A COLT FACTORY REFURBISH MARK AS WELL, SO THIS PISTOL APPARENTLY WENT BACK TO COLT, THEN FROM COLT TO ROCK ISLAND AND RE-ISSUED. THE GUN ITSELF IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION THROUGHOUT.... ALL IN ALL A RARE .45 AUTO VARIAITON AT A NICE PRICE...C&R OK
