Winchester Model 1886, Cal. 45-90. Serial number 58275 manufactured in 1891. 26 inch octagon barrel. Bore has scattered spots of light pitting. Full magazine tube. Barrel marked - MANUFACTURED BY THE - - WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. - CONDITION: Full restoration with 98% restored blued finish and antiqued case color finish on receiver, lever, hammer and butt plate. Sound refinished stock & forend. Sound action. Ammunition and reloading supplies are readily available for this firearm. HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE 1891: The Dalton Gang committed its first crime, a train robbery in Alila, Calif. on Southern Pacific #17. Thomas Edison filed a patent for the motion picture camera. Comanche, the only 7th Cavalry horse to survive George Armstrong Custer’s "Last Stand" at the Little Bighorn, died at Fort Riley, Kan. ANTIQUE NO FFL TRANSFER REQUIRED.
