This is a cape gun or one rifle one shotgun style drilling, it is calibered in 9.3 x 72R on the lower barrel and 16 ga 2 1/2" on the upper, the reciever is engraved and shows some case color the barrels are blued and are 27 1/2" long and the bores are bright and the rifling is strong in the rifle barrel, it has cocked indicators on the tang and a safty located on the left side, it has a two bladed flip sight in the rear and a single blade on the front, the bluing on the barrels is dark with light case rubs at the muzzel, and the barrels are marked " Imman. Meffert Suhl" on top and "FLL SSTAHI KRUP ESSEN" as near as I can make out on the bottom as well as several proof marks a nitro marks, the wood is solid through out the stock and appears to be a walnut stock, the but plate and grip cap are craved horn with the butt plate having been worm eaten a little and the filled with epoxy but it is serialized the same as the rest of the gun with the same serial matching on all parts.
There are light scratches in both the metal and wood from use comparable with what would be expected on a used but cared for gun, the lock up is very tight with no wiggle in the lock, all in all it is a very well made and cared for and fully usable gun
