Barrel Length: 4”
Sights / Optics: This revolver is mounted with a blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight (factory).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are plastic and marked “H&R” at the top. The checkering is still reasonably sharp. There are scratches to the bottoms of both panels, but no chips or cracks. The grips rate in about Very Good overall condition.
Type of Finish: Nickel
Finish Originality: All Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep. There is some fouling but no apparent erosion present.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 75% of its metal finish. There is some frosting / discoloration on the right side of the frame, and a spot on the left side of the frame ahead of the cylinder. There is pinprick erosion on the hammer and very scattered thinning of the nickel. The Screw heads are sharp and undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, both single and double action. The cylinder swivel pin is missing, and although the action functions correctly when swinging out the cylinder, the cylinder is not retained and comes out of the revolver. This should be an easy fix and being that this revolver was made through the 1980’s, parts should be obtainable. We did not fire this revolver.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None
Our Assessment: This is a simple and easy to use 9-shot .22 revolver. This is a good utility revolver and can be used for plinking, hunting, teaching and general barnyard use. Enjoy.
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This revolver is not on the California “roster of certified for sale handguns”, and can only be transferred to a California resident as a private party transfer (PPT) at out shop in Simi Valley. This does not apply to out of state buyers.
