Here is a quite unusual experimental packaging of Remington’s .22 LR High Velocity box. Back in the 1980’s the Target chain approached the boys in Bridgeport and requested that their ammo be vacuum sealed to cards for security and store display. Not sure of how well such packaging would survive shipping, an experimental batch was prepared using available card stock from Remington’s RemGrit saw blade division, also in Bridgeport. They shipped out one small batch, which survived just fine, and were then given to the Remington engineer who passed a few on to me. This specimen is still in mint condition and full of original cartridges. A fascinating piece of Remington history and a real eye catcher in your display.
