Seller's Description

Guns For Sale - Parker Hale Model 1200 -- .30-06 Bolt Action Rifle

LSB#: 120309ML20

Make: Parker Hale, England

Model: Model 1200

Serial Number: Z-62937

Year of Manufacture: Modern

Caliber: .30-06 Springfield

Action Type: Bolt Action, Internal Magazine

Markings: The barrel is marked “Parker-Hale Limited Birmingham England”, and “CAL 30/06”. There is a crown over “BNP” proof on the barrel, receiver, and bolt.

Barrel Length: 22 ½”

Sights / Optics: This rifle is mounted with a hooded front sight, a flip up notch rear sight and rails mounted to the action.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are nicely grained wood, reminiscent of the “Weatherby” style with dark end cap and pistol grip cap. There is general wear, nicks and dings, and some minor finish loss. There are several spots of finish loss, most noticeably on the left side of the stock at the cheek piece. The LOP measures approx. 13 3/8” from the trigger to the back of the rubber butt pad. The butt pad is still quite fresh. The stocks rate in about Very Good overall condition.

Type of Finish: Blue barrel and receiver and “in-the-white” bolt.

Finish Originality: Factory Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is about medium depth. There is no apparent erosion and just a bit of fouling.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minor use / handling, but primarily poor storage. There are no mentionable scratches and only some wear on the trigger guard. The bolt handle shows some surface rust and discoloration, as does the rear of the bolt. The barrel, forward of the forearm shows some scattered surface rust, that should clean. There is also some very small surface rust at the rear of the barrel / ring. The Screw heads are in good serviceable condition showing light use and minor disfiguration. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Very Good condition and will improve with some oil and steel wool. The rust has not affected the bore or action.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: There are sling swivels and a sling provided. There are also rail mounts installed on the receiver rings.

Our Assessment: This is a high quality and nice looking sporting rifle that was finely made in England and chambered in the American .30-06 SPRG. This caliber is perfectly effective for just about anything you’d ever want to shoot. It’s condition is good and it will make a great field gun or a beautiful range piece. Parker Hale has a great reputation, buy this rifle and find out why.

CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This rifle can be transferred in California.
