Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “Smith & Wesson”, the right side of the barrel is marked “32 Long Ctg”. The right side of the frame has the S&W trademark. The top of the barrel is marked “Smith & Wesson Springfield Mass. U.S.A. / Patented March.27.94 Aug.4.96 Dec. 22.96 / Oct. 8.01. Dec. 17.01.Feb.6.06 .Sept. 14.09”. The serial number is found on the bottom of the grip frame. The bottom of the barrel flat is marked "B 250040".

Sights / Optics: The gun is mounted with a blade front sight and a notch in the frame rear sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are hard rubber with S&W logos. The grips fit superbly well. There are just a few minor handling marks, mostly on the right panel. The checkering is sharp. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp and deep. There is some old fouling near the breech, but no apparent erosion.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 90% of its metal finish. This gun must have been stored poorly in a holster because there is a patch across the cylinder on one chamber, which shows finish loss and some beginning pinprick erosion. There is also some finish loss on the frame edges, most notably on the left side. There is some very scattered beginning pinprick erosion on the right side of the frame and on the grip strap. There is a light dragline on the cylinder. The case hardening on the hammer and trigger is vivid. The five blued screws have sharp slots. The grip screw shows minor use. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Fine - Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, both single and double action. We did not fire this gun.

Our Assessment: You can search far and wide and not find a nicer revolver than this one. What a beauty. This gun is nearly 100 years old and is magnificent. If you are a Smith and Wesson collector or just want a fabulous condition .32 long double action for home or carry, you can’t beat this revolver. Don’t hesitate to bid, this one will be worth it.

Your item will be shipped within 1 week of receipt of good funds, usually the next day. If you are in Southern California, you are welcome to pick your item up and complete the transfer at our shop in Simi Valley (M-F, 8-5).
This gun can only be shipped to an FFL or C&R, and it will be shipped from an FFL. It is your responsibility to ensure that the gun is legal to own and receive in your area. We receive about 40 checks a day and do not have the staff required to email everyone when we receive checks.

CA Sales tax applies to CA buyers (7.25%).
Layaways are offered on all items, requiring a 20% non refundable down payment within 7 days of the auction’s close and the balance within 60 days. We do not require prior notice to place an item on the layaway. No returns are accepted on layaway items and the item will be considered abandoned after 60 days.
